Task Force on Education Activities
IEEE CIS > Technical Activities > Standards Commitee

Welcome to the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Task Force on Education Activities.

IEEE CIS > Technical Activities  >  Standards Committee > Educational Activities Task Force

The CIS (computational Intelligence Society) technical activities cover many exciting technologies in computational intelligence (CI) and their applications in a wide variety of areas. CI aims to mimicking nature for effective problem solving and the CIS technical activities promote scientific research, technological development, practical applications, and knowledge dissemination in CI.

Standars Committee deals with standards, data sets, and software of interest to people working in CI, and the Technology Transfer Committee, promoting transfers of CI technologies to the industry.

Task Force on Educational Activities is one of the five TF of the Standards Committee. One of the goals of this task is to propose new Education Standards in the Computational Intelligence field. Technical standards are formal documents that establish uniform engineering or technical criteria, methods, processes and practices developed through an accredited consensus process.

In addition, this TF will offer a repository of standards in teaching, lectures and other interesting materials. This repository can help to introduce and teach students and educators about technical standards in CI by providing free tutorials and case studies.
